City stopover itinerary – London

London is a great city and there is a lot to see and do there so it’s hard to only pick a few highlights, but we have narrowed down our favourite things for a 48 hour stopover!

Go for an early lunch at The Ivy and do a spot of celeb spotting before heading to a matinee play or musical in London’s West End (The Ivy is centrally located so most theatres should be within walking distance – check out what’s on during your stay here.

Then why not head for high tea at The Ritz (a traditional English afternoon tea is a must!) before heading to one our favourite spots Christophers for a couple of cocktails. Finish the night off in a traditional British boozer – why not check out Cross Keys or Harp in Covent Garden? Soak up the atmosphere there where you’ll no doubt see some of the famous street artists and entertainers in action!

On your second day, we’d recommend a wander round Camden Market to pick up some unique clothes/jewellery/pictures/gifts and then catch the tube to Hyde Park  to take a wander around one of London’s best parks.

A visit to London wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the shops on Oxford Street – we defy you not to find something that you’d like to buy!

Why not then finish off your London visit with a trip to Brick Lane and enjoy a delicious curry!
