What we liked: We’re big Sophie Kinsella fans and her writing style is consistently fun and entertaining. The story moves pretty quickly, it’s an interesting and amusing premise and you can certainly pass an enjoyable Sunday afternoon reading this light-hearted book.
What we didn’t like: Unfortunately, this isn’t one of our favourite Sophie Kinsella books. Some of her previous books (“Twenties Girl”, “Wedding Night” and “The Undomestic Goddess” in particular) have literally made us laugh out loud (and reading one scene in “Wedding Night” we were actually crying with laughter – on a bus, it was embarrassing lol!). However, this one didn’t quite have the same comic effect – the premise had the potential to be amusing but we felt it just never quite got there. Sorry Sophie, but we remain loyal fans!!
