‘The Dinner” – Herman Koch
A thriller centering around a dinner between two brothers and their wives. Talk over the meal turns to their teenage sons and a terrible thing they have done and the lengths the parents will go to in order to save them from the consequences of their actions. We’ve heard good things about this book and apparently it has some great twists and turns so we’re looking forward to reading it!
“Still Me” – Jojo Moyes
This is the third book in the series of novels about Lou Clark. The tearjerker “Me Before You” is one of our favourite books which starts the series, with the sequel being “After You”. This story picks up with Lou living in New York (her boyfriend Sam is in London) working for an employer whose wife is keeping a secret from him. Lou is going to meet a man who reminds her a lot of someone she used to know…
“Unmasked – A Memoir” – Andrew Lloyd Webber
Not an autobiography as such as it stops at the first night of “The Phantom of the Opera” and therefore there is a lot of his life which isn’t included, but rather a memoir chronicling some of the key defining moments of his career including “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat”, “Cats” and “Phantom of the Opera”. Andrew Lloyd Webber is a great character so it will be interesting to see how his tells his story!
GTTG reviews on these books will be posted soon!
