GTTG book review: Still Me

Our review rating (out of 5): ♥♥♥♥

Plot summary: This is the third book in the series of novels about Lou Clark. The tearjerker “Me Before You” is one of our favourite books which starts the series, with the sequel being “After You”. This story picks up with Lou living in New York (her boyfriend Sam is in London) working for an employer whose wife is keeping a secret from him. Lou is going to meet a man who reminds her a lot of someone she used to know…

What we liked: This is a great chick lit book. Jojo Moyes is at her best here and we loved getting back into Lou’s world. Featuring some new characters alongside our old favourites, it was easy to pick the story back up even though it’s been a while since reading the previous book in the series. A really entertaining read with a few ups and downs but you are safe in the knowledge that everything will work out in the end and you really “go on the journey” with Lou. With most of the story being set in New York as well, it’s nice to read about the city through her eyes.

What we didn’t like: To be honest, there was little we didn’t like! At a push we’d maybe say (without giving too much away) that one of the character’s stories didn’t quite get resolved as satisfactorily as we would have liked but that’s being picky! Overall, it;s a great, satisfying read and a very well written third book in the series.
